Folkestone Community Swing Band was formed in 2019 at the Folkestone Academy.

Formally an Army Musician, I decided to give something back to the community and support local charities and social wellbeing of all. Initially,  I was sceptical of recruiting enough people with ambition, drive and the skills to see it through, however, following a small gathering of keen volunteers the band spiralled and we became a registered charity, supporting the Alzheimer's Society.

Since Covid 19, sadly, numbers have diminished and I am keen to get back to what we are good at. If anyone is interested or indeed knows of anyone suitable, please feel free to email me.
